Just came into possession of a mint condition Bren 100 rd drum.
Any one know anything about these drums or know someone that does?
Need info on the following:
1. Load -
Is it loaded 1 round at a time or is it opened and loaded all at once?
2. Disassembly -
How do you open the drum?
Have found 2 latches, one on the side where you press down and large swing out latch on top. Both are easily released with fingers, but top cover still does not come off.
Besides these 2 latches, on the top of cover there is a small black flat tab about 1" long and 1/2" wide with rivet on 1 end. It looks like it pivots on rivet and it locks into a grove of the center shaft.
Not sure it is safe to release this since it not an easily removed latch like others.
I just want to make sure I don't end up eating a spring if I release it.
