At the risk of sounding like an anorak,I have just noticed on my tripods on all but one of them then lower AA leg is hollow where it joins the upper leg,but on one the inside of the leg is solid at the join anyone else noticed this or know anything about it ? or do i need to get out more ;D

You need to get out more .........allot more ! ;D .....and another thing ! ......if you think I'm going to rip tripods to bits this time of night to satisfy a curious whim of yours you had better hope there's another mug out there willing to aid and abet you ;D ........I might just have to have a quick look otherwise I'll only stay awake all night wondering

My CCM Mk 1 has a plug brazed into the top of the lower leg, presumably to add support to the end of the tube when some squaddie clumps his hobnails all over it. They would be very hard to assemble if one part was squashed out of shape.

At the risk of suggesting names of outdoor weatherwear, what makes you think that "all but one of my tripods..." doesn't already make us wonder! Regards Matt PS I will check out my AGE but I think that too has a lower leg as described!

Well hello all. Seems that I am looking for an AA leg. If no one has one for sale I could use some photos of the two pieces. Especially the top of the upper leg where it catches onto the tripod.
Thanks Rick
