Kev Do you still have some tripod butt handle clips, if so can I get a pair off you for my latest tripod aquired the other week in a little barter.  Has the holes, ready, but no clips. Also I don't suppose anyone would know the paint code for the early war British army brown colour would they? Want to repaint the tripod you see. |

Hi Matt,
Try trawling the web for the vehicle restoration guys, the paint you are after is DARK EARTH.
Some of em only do a 5 ltr tin, but if you ask around at least a couple of em do it in 1 ltr tins for touch up purposes.
Some of it is a little glossy but if you ask nicely they may be able to send you a small tin of Matting agent ( looks like cornflour and you have to mix it in )

Hi Matt, Me again, try a search for WAR PAINT, the guys used to be based just outside ashford, but they are at a new location now, Milweb has a link to them , RR Restorations. The range of paint when i last looked was extensive and accurate, they also do small tins and matting agent. regards Tim Was scratching the bonce for a while thier trying to remember, age and senility go together dont you know  |

Would there be any interest in a repro gas piston, made in soft alloy but machined with a couple of features to make it a non pressure bearing copy. Someone I know is having a prototype made at the mo. Just wondering. I am enquiring myself anyway cos I want one for the Battalion spares box.
