Hi Folks finally getting shut of the ZB26 and kit which doesn't fit in my Commenwealth LMGs collection. OK technically the roll is ZB30 as is the combi tool but it came with the gun and the spares with it where ZB26 so I don't know if thats how the issued them. Here's a shot of the other side of the gun to show condition. Included is the rare and in this case unissued tool box, and no I don't want to split the set ;-{D) All the firing pins have been shortened but kept with the correct profile to comply with UK legislation. Postage I guess would be £30 to £35 for the lot and buyer pays. However I will be at Beltring on the Friday and can deliver there. Can now leave with reliable third party for pick up on saturday or Sunday. I'm hoping for £500 for the lot. All the best Tom tombear@btopenworld.com

Ah well, no bites so far, wasn't the best time to try and sell just before Beltring, was it ;-{D)
I would consider swapping the lot for a Vickers-Berthier Mk III, depending on condition
and could anyone advise me on the availability and cost of straight from FTR L3A4s? I amcurrently assuming they would be less than uncoverted M1919A4s. On that vague note how much are the M2 tripods and relevant vehicle mounts for the L3?

Hi Matt nah, its still here, gathering dust. I've not had time to seriously try and flog it although I've had plenty of interest in all the bits.
I'll sell it for 350 + postage but it would only come with one mag.

350+postage is for just the gun and one mag, 450+postage is for the whole lot in the photos, less the red security blanket of course....
I'm in east Lancs if a buyer would prefare to pick up (cash only, unless they post a cheque and wait for it to clear before collecting of course)

Would you be willing to sell the tool kit separate? I know you said you would not but I thought I'd ask anyway I can not import the gun or the barrel (new crappy laws here in the USA) This is assuming there are no UK laws forbidding export to the USA of the above parts.

Hi Mongo I'm affraid we're still stuck with the gun, and herself, who's technically it is, doesn't want to be left with any odd bits. I can understand why theres been so much interest in the box its a great bit of kit. Unfortunately to comply with UK law I had to shorten the firing pins by 3 mill' but I kept the profile.
No doubt if someone offered her a looney amount for it her greed would overcome her scruples (I'll get hell for that).
I just want rid so I can get another Besa...
All the best

thanks for the reply. Had to try I just picked up a live ZB26 and I'm starting the great goodie hunt for it. Is there any way you can take some measurements of the ejection port buffers in the spares kit? There are none existent here in the states and several people who have the guns have been using cobbled together ones. If I could get a good set of dimension on a "new" one I can have them made for the shooters over here. thanks for any help you can give.

No worries, if you don't ask.... just off to pick the kids up from school but when I get back I'll measure up the buffer or perhaps better still (it avoids me cocking up) take some digi pics of it with the calipers in place for the various dimensions. I'll use a drill bit to see what the precise diameter of the hole is since I don't have any gaugues that small.
Drop us a line at home

So I can mail the pics etc.
You never know, now people know you are after them some one may up and say they have spares...?

Special Christmass offer! Up to Christmass I'll take £425 cash for the complete ZB kit and gun as in the photo. Buyer must pick up or be close to East Lancs for me to deliver.
I'd possibly come down to £575 for the Aussie Vickers and tripod, it's really getting in the way!
Prices go back up on the 26th!

Since herself was offered a very good price she couldn't refuse the ZB spares and tools tin is now sold.
Therefor The ZB 26 with one mag is for sale for £350 plus actual postage. However I will accept £325 for cash if the buyer collects (I'm in East Lacashire) for one week only (until 27/03/07).
All the best
Tom
PS will accept a decent offer for all the other bits in the photo as well.
