Shame the tripod is fitted with an incorrect ghastly GP carry harness The correct pair of rifle slings can usually be bought for less than the price of a scammed Ebay GP harness proporting to be for the Bren tripod. ........rant over ! ATB Kevin

PSG is a good site and the forum is quite interesting as well.
I recognise some of the people there and they should know better about the GS harness (and the H51 ammunition box - but let's not get b*tchy ;o)

And what about the Mk IV butt on the first Bren on the tripod? Saying that they are out there actually showing the stuff off while I'm too lazy to do a display at all!

Blimey that's 'super-spotter' skills. I can't do it with Bren's but I'm sure I could with a Vickers.
I've got to say though, minor points aside, the overall impression of the Bren properly mounted in a pillbox is pretty good - I just wish I had a Vickers one nearby that I could do the same.

Thanks and Kevin, yes I am on high days and holidays! Rich, yes I am that sad, its the obsession with illustrated parts lists! Do you have Henry Wills book on Pillboxes? Theres loads with grid refs and coded descriptions in the back of that, what sort are most likely to be Vickers compatable? The GHQ stop line isn't that far from your area and theres loads on a spur heading all the way from Melksham to Abingdon...

Hi Tom,
I do have that book - also one by Mike Osborne which is very similar. We don't go on a walk now without being a spotter on pillbox types (very sad!).
The nearest MMG ones are in Reading or Somerset.
