My Vickers is missing the oiler brush from one of my Vickers spade grips. Help finding a replacement is very much appreciated. The brush I have is brass.

A tip I was told is to simply buy a WW1 issue rectanguler oil bottle for the Vickers, and take the cap and brush off that, and it should simply screw into the spade grips as they are exactly the same thing (apparently WW2 made examples are sometimes a slightly different size, and wont always fit).

Hi Todd and Andrew
In my experience all the plastic shafts (WW2?) are smaller than the brass shafts (WW1?).
Todd, I have a few spare brass shafted brushes. Not sure if it's worth posting all the way from rugger mad SA but if you are keen, post here or e-mail me a pic/s of your brush and I will try and match it.
Let me know
Cheers ;D (World Cup grin)

Hi Peter Congratulations on the win. There would have been mass suicides here if the Poms had won again!! ;D At least the cup is in the right hemisphere!

Yes a very well done to the boys in SA for winning the cup. After what happened to us Aussies I'm just glad the Pom's didn't win it. Nothing personal against those of you in the U.K. And it's still much closer to us then the Kiwis! All the best. Mal.

Peter - sorry, I don't check this forum with the right frequency. I will email pics. Since I have not found a brush, the expense might be well worth it. Thank you for the reply. Todd
