Hello, During a recent trip to France I found this mounting which I believe is for the Bren. (It was marked as such). I have mounted my MK1m on it and it seems to fit! If it is indeed for the Bren, what would it have been mounted on e.g Ship, vehicle, in a workshop or in static defences? I look forward to hearing from you, Cheers, Norfolk "] [/img]

Hi Kev
Are you guarding the rabbits with the Bren, or waiting for them to show? We normally just use .22's or shotguns! ;D

Many thanks for adding the pictures Kev, I see that you have even been kind enough to crop them! It is definately the same mount in your photo but with a different head! So it does come off a vehicle then?!
Rod, we tend to use shotguns over here too! It is in fact our pair of Bantums night time quarters!
Cheers!

It's a lot like some naval mountings I've seen for the VGO and for jimpys (this is going back to the early 80s when they were welding them to anything that floats) to go to te Falklands.

I quote from - the gunner.net "1 only £650, it couldn't be made for that!"
I would imagine theres probably thousands of Chinese factories that would make a jeep and the mounting for £650 ;D

Ah ha!! Thats the one!! How likely is it that it is for a Jeep?! I wonder where thegunner got his information from?
No, no need to go to China. I got mine from Battery Todt but the price has gone up quite significantly!
