Hi All I have, in my collection, three Vickers rods, all three with the typical cast handles: 1) Steel handle, marked 'EFD' over '13'. Is that a pre-WW1 rod or does the 13 signify something else? (Brag - This one lives in a 1917 dated leather Spare Barrell Case, minty conditon ) 2) Brass handle, marked 'ENFT', with bothe UK and SA acceptance marks. Who is ENFT? 3) Started life identical to 2) but shortened and threaded for SA 7.62mm conversion to take standard FAL/R1 brushes. In addition, does anyone have a schematic of the internal layout of the transit chest for me? Any help greatly appreciated. TIA and regards to all. PW in sunny SA.

Hi Peter,
I can do a decent photo of the transit chest if you want, rather than a schematic (that would take a bit longer).
I don't recognise the markings of the cleaning rods but I suspect the 13 is merely an inspection mark or it could be a Maxim / Early-Vickers rod.
Regards
Richard (Overcast UK)
