I AM MISSING 2 PARTS FOR MY MK1 TRIPOD: WHEN YOU STOW THE AA LEGS INTO THE TRIPOD TUBES THERE IS A SPRING LOADED PIN THAT GOES THROUGH THE TUBES TO HOLD THE AA LEGS IN PLACE, I AM MISSING THE NUT, AND PULL WASHER FROM THE RIGHT SIDE. MY TEMP REPAIR IS A NUT AND WASHER, BUT THE NUT IS THE WRONG SIZE AND I DON'T WANT TO MESS UP THE THREADS. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW THE CORRECT NUT SIZE I NEED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Bud, What you refer to as a 'pull washer' is actually the nut, formed as a wide and flat knob. The thread protruded beyond this knob and, on the BSA model I have, the last couple of threads are bashed a bit to prevent the knob getting undone.
The thread seems to be 2 BA (British Association) which were standard for small screws and nuts. In fact they were used a lot in electrical, electronic, and instrument work.
I am presently making a couple for a friend, and if you want it should be no problem to make them 3. Cost would be the postage from Malta, Europe to wherever you are. Cheers Godwin
