A nice 'woodpecker'! ;D I would like to see your photos of the Owen & Austen guns. I have a tidy Mk 1 Owen and also a 2/3, as well as two Austens (Carmichaels and Diecasters). I am after a bolt and the body mounted safety for my 2/3 if you know of anything!

Whoops Damm those Japanese for using all those different numbers !!!!!! As for parts here in Australia I have seen nothing for these guns other than a few years ago there was a sight cover for the 92 but it is long gone now

missingsomething, sorry I still haven't got around to measuring the carrying handles of my Type 3. They are tucked away and I haven't had time to dig them out. There is a rear carrying handle in a Japanese auction at present. It is different construction to my Type 3 handle, and I'm not sure if it is from a Type 92, or another arm. Install Japanese characters on your pc (if you don't already have them) and then take a look here. page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e85735891A good free translation can be done through uk.babelfish.yahoo.com/I know of a site that will bid on behalf of non-Japanese residents, but their charges are not cheap and you would have to pay shipping from seller to them, and again from them to you.

Thanks, it looks like a Japanese Type 92 handle all right... now to find someone who speaks and reads Japanese.

Maybe Teri can help? She speaks Japanese and lives in Canada. If you don't know her already, contact her through her website, www.members.shaw.ca/tju/jhg.htm

Yep, I contacted her..... she told me it was a repro and that the seller wouldn't ship outside of Japan... so that killed that..... I appreciate the heads up though....
