OK, a little off thread but you chaps should know this.
I'm looking for a really good MK II Tommy Helmet dated 1943 or earlier to go with the set I am making in honour of my uncle killed in Italy in early 1944.
What sort of price should I be paying in the UK as I'd hate to be screwed and this is a area where I know very little indeed.
Also, are there any helmet collectors out there? A while back I picked up a couple of replacement liners and its been suggest they may be for the DR helmet or a very early UK para helmet. They are dated 1941. I can send pics (or grovel to Kev to put them up here). Not knowing is bugging me!
