Daryl kindly sent some drawings from an edition of the Australian M.G.O. showing sub calibre set ups.Have included a couple of photos also. Anyone have any more examples to add please ? 25 pounder    2 pounder  Boffors  ATB Kevin |

As these came out of a publication they may not have the original caption.
The top photo is from the AWM Library.
Palestine, Syria. July 1942. An Australian soldier checking the accuracy of fire from a Bren gun attached to the barrel of an artillery piece. The Bren gun can be fired remotely by a wire attached to the trigger with a spring on the wire to return the trigger to the off position. The name, 'Irish', on the body of the Bren gun probably refers to the owner of the gun.

Some very nice WW2 newsreel footage of Bren firing in sub calibre spotter role on a Bofors.(listen for it !) ;D PS The ad to the right of the video is a Google ad that I didn't place there and I can't get rid of it  Kevin |

My buddy found a nice bofors not that long ago.... I will have to see if I can find the mounting brackets  Nice vids.... thanks for posting.... very cool |

I own the Bofors, but I can't own a working bren. I actualy have a slightly different idea I plan on trying out for a sub cal with this gun.  |

V nice Bofors cmpman ,I would like one as a 'gate guardian' in the front garden but I have been told by 'higher authority' is isn't ever going to happen ! |
