Vickers-Craford Rocket gun info and pictures

Apparently there is an example in the Pattern Room collection. The following website has a good description and a photograph.

There is a good picture of the Vickers Crayford gun and the mounting in Harry Woodman's "Early Aircraft Armament".(pp208-209)

Unfortunately, the description of the gun is completely wrong as it perpetuates the myth that it was a type of rocket launcher and not a cannon.

I will check, but I do not think there is one in the Pattern Room.

There was a 1.59" round for sale on ebay a year or so back and it went for a great deal of money. I cannot remember exactly how much but it was several hundred pounds.
