Would anyone have a photo of the inside of the Vickers Transit case. My gun came in a case but some of the wooden blocks on the inside sides have been lost and only the screws remain. I am trying to restore the case and I need a photo of the inside of a case so I can replace the blocks which are missing. Can anyone help. Thanks Murray

Hey! Thanks Rod, that is very kind of you. I loved your article on the Galloping Maxim in the latest New Zealand Antique and Historical Arms Gazette today. What an effort to collect all the parts and reassemble it after all those years and it really looks great in all of the colour photographs. And to get it functional again. There is of course another photo of it on page 278 of Dolf Goldsmiths' Grand old lady of no man's land. I have met Dolf on at least seven occasions and no doubt will see him again this December at the SAR show in Phoenix. Again, many thanks Murray

Thanks Murray. I think most of the credit for the article should go to Dennis Lally who took the photos when he visited a few months ago, and for excellent layout of the article. Regarding Dolf, we have been writing to each other for years, and spoken on the phone, but never met. When I was at the War & Peace show in the UK in 2006 we were only about 50 yards apart but neither of us knew until we were both back home!
