Hi Kevin
I have never seen such items, and I do not believe they would be WW2 production. Lithgow did manufacture components for the L4 Bren conversions anf the Mk II stocks were probably in that lot. Lithgow commenced work on the L4 guns in 1971 but the records indicate that they only manufactured barrels (3000) and magazines (25000). Slazengers (the traditional suppliers of stocks to Lithgow) had ceased production about 1966 and their production facilities were transferred to Lithgow. The records do not indicate stock manufacture for the L4's but it could have happened.

Hi Rod,I also have never come across this either ,but I can't say I have really looked as it's not some thing I have expected. The Lithgow Bren is 45 dated and according to Skennertons production figures is 3 from last.It has the flat type MK3 butt plate on the MK2 butt and this and the rest of the metal butt furniture carries MA markings.Timber appears to be the usually coachwood as per Slazenger MKI butts.
