Both are correct dodge,they are just variations due to date of manufacture.

This is a rough guide for dating Bren magazine boxes -

1937 stenciled wording changes from 'Magazine' to 'Magazines'
1938 full width tongue on catch is made smaller.
1938 catch 'cross bar' is added
1940 MK2 metal handle now made in addition to MKI web.
1941 sand exclusion modification to boxes (horse hair lid seal) Of course not all boxes are modified.
1942 new manufactured boxes are now made with sand exclusion seals.

Boxes modified or new made with the sand exclusion seal should be marked MKI* or MKI/I

Credit to Tom for drawings and LoC's etc which he has pain stakingly accumulated and proccessed which much of this info is drawn from.

What is the magazine box pictured at the bottom of the above photograph? I bought two (2) of them thinking they were for Bren mags but they obviously do not fit .303 mags. Any market value for them in US?

Your picture doesn't show but I pressume you are refering to the 7.92 boxes ? They are usually on Ebay US (but not as I type) so you have a rough guide to price when they are listed next.Geof had a shed load of them so they should be relisted sometime soon.

An arrow stamped on lid, white C or circle with arrow in it? Mags all have same mark.
hand written in lid groove, "Green 11-7 32-8-43"
