I have a clinometer, which I have been told is for a Vickers MG. I also am under the impression it was used in a British tank. It is marked PALMER, O.S.1156 G.A., 1944, No. 2681, CLINO SIGHT H.A. MK.I on one side. The other side is the elevation scales, one marked from -5 to 35, and the other marked from 35 to 75. Also on this side is the serial number, 880. It has squeeze grips with a spring on the underside and the top contains a bubble level, with a highly polished, flip up steel mirror. I am looking for more information about this device. It is in extremely good condition, the vernier knobs move well, and everything is nice and tight.

Evening,
With the spring clips underneath, I think that is a mortar clino rather than the Vickers one but I am unsure what mortar it is for (or artillery).
Regards
Richard
