Ok so first time here, just discovered this forum and its great. So here`s the thing, got my hand on a ZB 30 a while ago. Discovered recently that the tripping lever is broken of. Just looking for a way to fix it. Will the tripping lever of a Bren work?? Thanks.

You're right Gab. Great forum and ready access to piles of expertise. As for your problem - I have examples of both guns so will check this week-end and let you know. At worst I can give you dimensions of the 30s part and you can get yours remade. I must first ask though - is this legal where you are located?

Thanks for the help, as for your question the answer is yes. I`m one of the few lucky ones with the proper license. This nice little piece is the center piece of my collection.

Great. You're in luck Gab. The trigger/tripping lever assembly (including the spring and plunger) are identical and interchangeable between the Brens and my Abyssinian contract ZB30. The only difference I can see is that the ZB parts have a slightly finer finish. Don't have spares though. Cheers

Great, thanks for the info. This is gonna make my life alot easier. Think you could send me a picture of the full tripping lever if its to much to ask, from there i`ll probably be able to get my buddy to machine me a new one.

I can certainly do that Gab but Sarco (www.sarcoinc.com) have the Trip Lever Assy at $10 - part # 'bren036'!
If you are not in the US they will have to send it to a US adress (a mate/family) and they can post it on to you.
Even better would be to post a WTB on this form. One of the guys is bound to be able to help.
Let me know which way you want to go.

Sorry about the quality of the pic but good luck Interesting thing about the recoil spring rod - mine has a fat section about 1 inch from the front end. This is not evident in your pic. Cheers
