I need everything! So that I can make one from scratch. I am just finishing up a 1917 machinegun cart which can be viewed at the 1919a4.com forums under the subsection of tripods. I need to update some photos on that, however im looking for a next project.

If you are into carpentry I can e you the factory drawings for various small arms chests, sadly I didn't bother with the Vickers MMG ones but did get the No. 4 T, Vickers Berthier LMG, both types of Besa, Bren Bat' spare box, Mk II Bren box, Vickers, 4 x 100 rd Mag box, 10 x 100rd Mag box, various hinges and locks and what have you.

the inside seems are sealed with a sort op canvas, probebly for moisture (or gas as you suggested ;D). its is attached with glue i think.
and the top is coverd with a green felt and attached with copper nails.

Hi Guys. I am also looking into makeing from scratch the tripod transit case, dose anyone have any major dimensions, wood thicknes etc? I am relatively new to the world of Vickers as have only had my gun “my baby” since August last year. Matt.

also looking at the original markins there is a small mystery
there are 2 part numbers on the box , C1/BD2226 C1/BD0222
ive looked in the parts list and C1/BD2226 is listed as the tripod
however i cant find C1/BD0222, does anyone now what this is?

It's the chest itself.

lol , ok thanks ;D
thought there might be something else in the chest, since the tripod only fills 2/3 of the chest

I would agree it will be the chest part number as well as the tripod ! Dose anyone know what NATO country 90 is? IE 99 is UK. Michielvr have you had any luck with getting the dimensions etc for the dial sight case? I have the normal gun transit case if anyone needs the dimensions etc. (unfortunately I can’t afford a dial sight etc yet)

The list on the US DOD site doesn't include 90 so that's a bit of a mystery. What's the full number and what's it on?
