I have a Vickers 11mm (A/C). I am looking to see what kind of interest there might be if I decide to sell it. The firing pin has been modifed to render the gun in-op. The gun is in good but not mint condition. I know that many other details are required to determine value, just looking for a place to start.

Hi Bill,
Can you confirm the official calibre of the gun? Is it 11mm x 59 Gras?
If so, then it is lawful to own in the United Kingdom by virtue of the exemption granted under section 58(2) of the Firearms Act 1968 as cited in "Firearms Law: Guidance to the Police. 2002"
If this is the case then I may be interested once you have established a price. I do not know what such a price would be though and am therefore unable to advise.
Regards
Richard

Sorry but despite my earlier reply, I have checked wit hteh Government on this matter and they have confimed that it is their belief that this would be a prohibited weapon (see the thread in the Vickers MG Discussion section for further info).

Richard

Do you have a price on the gun? What is the condition of the jacket?
