Hi Chaps,
Having always wanted the full complement of spares in my kits, I have been trying to get hold of some firing pins and extractors that are UK legal so was looking for resin or poor-quality white metal items.
However, I have always been unsuccesful until today when I have finally got a decent enough 'deactivated' firing pin and extractor (cut down the middle and superglued back together) that I have started to make a silicon mould and will have a go at casting some out of white-metal (like toy soldiers).
I may consider selling some but I will have to work out how much they cost first (raw materials) and I want around 20 pins and 10 extractors for all my kits and they come first!
I will let you know how I get on.
Regards
Richard

I finally got around to casting up some firing pins yesterday and below are the photographs of the result. They are in modelling casting metal and these two came out really well but the rest didn't want to play so they got re-cast and I will have a go later today. The seam where the original is cut has smoothed out really well! If I do get around to having some for sale, what sort of interest would there be? TTFN Rich

I have a few made up as spares so have put them as an advert in the for sale section.
