It appears to be a Russian sokolov mount, I know that the Germans used captured Sokolov/Maxim combinations on the western front, but I've never seen a Vickers mounted on one before, Peter.

Reading the comments, it's a well-staged photo and I wander if it is the owner of a museum who has just picked up any Vickers and any mount - the two fit and he's taken a photo!

Hi, Just "Photoshop". In the sources you can see the same field without the gun. Look at the size of the flower!!! Luc
