I have an unused Vickers muzzle cap marked “OA43” but it will not thread onto the barrel while another cap will easily. The threads do not appear to be damaged. I don’t want to force it for fear of damaging the threads on the barrel. Any idea of what is going on?

Trust the Aussy's to screw things up, maybe you need an Aussy barrel?

Are the threads on an Australian barrel different and require a unique cap? I wouldn’t think so. It doesn’t seem to make sense since a mix of Australian and UK manufactured guns and components were used by the in Australians in WWII but……..
