I believe these came out of India / Nepal as part of the IMA 'stash' as they came out around the same time. I am not clear whether they are correct for the period or re-use of old parts.
The contents don't represent any known list of items either and they are sometimes seen with other parts that are non-Vickers. I've also seen them stamped with an 'L' for Lewis gun parts but these haven't been around for a while.
Regards
Richard

Thanks Richard They must be like buses have just seen onother one, but the web case is british M.E.C and looks factory made with leather side buckles and carry strap, unlike the other that could be any old 37ptn pouch i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n581/smle/12c82116.jpg

I think they are just excuses for any spare parts that are lying about.
They never seem to have the same contents from one to the next. On that last photo, there are a few non-Vickers parts and also a few non-replaceable parts (e.g. some that are riveted to the gun).
Regards
Richard

I bought one from IMA. It contains totally different parts. In fact, I need some of the parts you have. Are you interested in trading?

Hi Todd i don't own the pouches they are ones i have seen on the web, speaking to my uncle a lucky Lewis gun owner he informs me that worldwide arms who buy stock from IMA, several years ago had a number of sets of these both Vickers and Lewis marked and as Richard said and my uncle agrees seemed to be put together from a mixed bag of bits for retail sale with some better than others.

Yes i agree the parts always vary. I have bought one of these for the vickers and was pleased with the amount of stuff that came in it. They are no doubt parts bins assortments and as i recall the IMA ad it said something similar to that. I think the pouches are new made.
