Here is a progress photo of a replica L7A2 that I am currently making for a customer with an AFV. It is scratch built from steel and aluminium, and will have a 'cock and click' bolt assembly, opening top cover and belt of dummy cartridges, but the barrel will be fixed. I will also be making them in the standard infantry pattern with folding bipod.

Very nice Rod,do you use original parts where you can or do you try and make everything in house ?

Kevin, I use original gas cylinders (as I happen to have a few) which I have welded an internal plug into to accept the threaded 'gas regulator' which holds the 'barrel' in place. With the exception of the gas cylinder, all parts are made by me.

They will be available for sale in a couple of months, on a made to order basis. I will post some more pictures of the progress in a few days.
