Hello All,
Royal Air Force publication "Handbook on the Lewis Gun" issued during 1919 states "Before guns (Lewis guns) are issued for use in aircraft they are overhauled by the R.A.F. Gun Testing section, which is responsible for for their satisfactory "running in" and "tuning up."
Can anybody assist me with information about this RAF unit and where it was located?
RAF Museum suggests it may have been a sub section of No. 1 Stores Depot. Kidbrooke. but cannot confirm.
Kind regards.
