The Grand Old Lady of No Mans land, The Vickers Machine gun Dolf L Goldsmith.
Hi Would like to buy this book but understand it is out of print, looking on the web people seem to be asking anything from £350-£800 are these prices any where near the going rate ? it seems rather extortionate to me. Are there any out there at sensible prices and if so what would be considered a sensible price ? or what price would you place on yours if you have one ?
Regards Terry

As said before, they go for pretty stupid prices these days on amazon.
However, last year i had a stroke of luck. There was one advertised on ebay with a starting bid of 99£. And to my suprise i was the only bider.
I think your best bet is to keep an eye on some weapon related auction houses and ebay, etc. Maybe a cheaper one will pop up.

I see them come up 2 or 3 times a year in the US, they typically sell for $250 - $300 in excellent condition.
