A nice display Rod and it seems a nice set of displays and event overall.
The plain wood, hessian and stamping works quite well. I might have to use that on some my displays. I'm currently planning a big one for September.

Hi Chris. Yes, it is a VSM .303 made in 1901 and mounted on the remains of what is possibly the only Dundonald Galloping carriage left in the World. If you zoom up on the photo above the gun you can see how it was in 1903 when it belonged to the Amuri Mounted Rifles, our local militia group. All NZ Militias were disbanded in 1910 or integrated into the Army. This gun has been in private ownership since new and I obtained it in the 1990's and made a new barrel and a couple of smaller parts. I gave a test run for its 100th birthday! I have the original bronze hubs and axle and am restoring the carriage slowly.
