Any one intrested in Vickers gun SKN1? Was # 6677 so I'm guesing its a LITHGOW. £2500, I'm not selling it, just seen it advertised. Its not the first time I've seen it so it may be an old advert or been for sale for a long time!

Had a look. It looks nice but without looking closely at the gun and the markings, I can't tell much. The photos are not particularly good.
Has obviously been in a good collection somewhere to have that stand like that and I would say not military-collection as they wouldn't be too bothered with serial numbers.
One thing that concerns me with Australian-manufactured Vickers guns that have been skeletonised is that they were relatively knew guns so it begs the question why they would become so shot out that they were then SKN. I would expect to see older British guns as SKN guns but not such a late production one. Just my suspicious mind at work but I got stung on one of these a few years ago @ £350 which I then sold for £350 but I don't think I would risk £2500 without seeing first hand.
It does look nice though!!
Regards
Rich
