This is probably the most asked question and the most annoying... Sorry 'bout that... ;D But how do I disassemble my Bren Mark II for routine cleaning??? Is there an online guide or manual??? (A parts breakdown would be nice too!) Thanks!

Kevin -
Thanks for your reply!
I did download the 'manuals', but without labeled pics I'm still confused...
BTW: The bottom four guides are not there; Badongo has deleted them (according to the msg on the web page)...

Page 20/21 of the 1939 Australian Small Arms Training manual has them.

Thank You, Kevin & Richard! With that guide and the parts breakdown, I was able to figure out where the small (3/4" square) hardened steel block went...the breakdown doesn't name it, but it is # 29, and it locks the bolt in firing position... I am curious if there are different size/length 'locking blocks' (like the bolt heads on SMLE's)...It would seem that these blocks also determine headspace... Anyway, after getting the major assemblies apart, and getting this block in, it actually took me longer to figure out how to place the magwell cover than it did to get the lockwork back together... Now I just need to find some 303 British cartridges to try it out... Thanks again!

Yes the hardened steel block is the 'locking shoulder'.They do come in various sizes and also affect headspace.Changing the locking shoulder would be an armourers job and not covered under 'routine cleaning' hence no mention of it in the manuals. Glad you managed to get it all together anyway.
