Hi everyone. I recently started to fabricate some reproduction ammo liners. These are the flimpsy tin ones. I have two of them in my collection, but since i use them for living history i wanted to spare them because they are quite rare. Last week i started to make some templates and i made a prototype box. The lids do not rip open like the original, that was just to hard to do. So i just made one with the lids already open. Would there be an interest in me making a build guide to put on this forum. Or possibly putting some up for sale? Regards michiel pics:

Michiel,
They look very good. A tutorial would be good and if you wanted to sell some then I am sure quite a few people would be interested.

I now have a H29 box (i.e. the wooden box holding two liners) and will be sharing plans to reproduce those as well in time.
Along with plans for the liners, it should be of use to many people.

Thanks richard ! That would be quite usefull aswell.
the boxes that i'm making are about 90% the same as original. I cant make them 100% the same because of the basic metal working tools i have, and the fact that i'm making the intirely by hand.
ill start making the tutorial at the end off september, so stay tuned.

Hello Michiel,
Have you seen the photos of the Arnhem display we did at the Victory Show this weekend? There are some on the WW2 reenacting forum. Some more liners would be very useful!
Looking forward to it.

nice display there! i would like to do a photoshoot of a vickers gun pit, one with the empty liners pilled up and lots of brass. maybee thats something for the winter months. i'm not sure if i'm going to put some boxes on here for sale, they are very labor intensive. about 3 hours a piece. the tutorial is going on here for sure
