I picked up this nice 1914 Hotchkiss pewter pen and ink stand last weekend at our local collectors' meeting. It is very nicely detailed and the sandbags tip up to reveal the ink well. It commemorates the Armistice so it must be in the late 1918-1919 period. It has no damage which is unusual as pewter is quite fragile in thin sections.
