Whilst searching the NSN database for the NSN of the 6 mag bag mentioned in the pos below, I came across a number of current Bren related NSNs.

-66- is Australian origin -12- is German origin -99- is UK origin -21- is Canadian origin.
Other than that, I have no idea what they relate to apart from the Aussie and Canadian numbers relating to Bren guns complete (At a guess).

NSN Description Assign Date 9915-21-921-1268 MACHINE GUN,BREN,AR 04/30/2001 "44337 DIRECTORATE OF DISPOSAL SALES ARTEFACTS AND LOANS L0278" L0278 DIRECTORATE OF DISPOSAL SALES ARTEFACTS AND LOANS ARTEFACTS AND LOANS MGEN GEORGE R PEARKES BLDG 101 COLONEL BY DRIVE OTTAWA, ON, K1A 0K2 CANADA Phone:8199948692 Fax:8199941638 pops up as manufacturer when you google the Canadian ones. I know that Canada kept some for Museums (regimental/Government ect.), and offered them on the government "open market" when they officially offloaded them in the early 90's. HMMMN, according to my Canadian Army Catalogue of Ordinance Stores -1959 parts list and NSN/old stock number reference, the NSN for the Bren Mk3 is 1005-21-103-7194/DD(E) 3742 nothing pops when I run it though...

I can verify that the "21-921" numbers are for museum pieces. There have now been Canadian NSNs attached to just about every gun imaginable that is housed in the Canadian military museums as an accounting measure. They are all later "21" and the newer "20" NSNs staring in the late 90s and still being created today. We had to go to the "20" in 2002 after we used up all the available "21" series of numbers, and 22 was already taken.
Pretty much any original NSNs for Bren guns have been deleted from the Canadian listings as obsolete, with the exception of some tools or accessories that are also used with the No4 Lee Enfields, which are still in use primarily with cadets and the Northern Rangers.
