Does anyone have the code (BS or US standards) for the brownish colour as used on UK WWII Ammo boxes? I'm talking the H 51 (?) wooden sort that held one 250 rd belt tin liner?
And since I'm on the subject has anyone done a Stencil of the mrkings they can scan in for folks to use?
Thanks
Tom

web.ukonline.co.uk/stephen.johnson/arms/Tom try this site for the box markings. If you scroll down you will see the PACKAGING, BOXES ETC. I have also used the Hammerite primer, it's also the correct shade for the later gas detecting paint!

Cheers!
is the stencilled areas on a original box small enough to be put directly on a scanners glass o do a full size scan?
By the by does anyone know where I can get issue stencils? I've had a new set of 50mm ( 2 inch to me) letters and am looking for the number ones to go with.
