Hi All,
I was looking at a famous SAS pic on line (IWM (E 21338)), and I noticed on the first jeep ( with Eddie Mac in it) that it looks like the the dual k's have had their spade grip removed, and a improvised handle added, down low ( bren barrel handle?) Anybody know about this.
Thanks, Andrew

With a little more snooping, I found the diagram that was posted here by Kevin a whi E back. I coundnt get it to open off this sight, but I got a thumbnail off google. From what I saw, it looks like the mod wouldnt be that hard to do for the Boffons in the SAS garage. The quality of the drawing that I have is very poor, and I can read the writing. Does anyone have a good copy of this drawing, or othe technical stuff about the trigger mech. I all dig up a copy of the pic I am talking about and post it, although I have yet to find one online with good enough resolution.
The reason I am so interested in this is that Ii am a model builder. I am working on a 1/6 scale k gun. I woll be more than happy to post the finished results for you all to see, and comment on. Cheers, Rg cheers,

Hi Andrew,
I've just looked at E 21337 which I have downloaded from the IWM and I think I can see what you mean. It looks like it could be a pair of No. 3 Mk. I guns or No. 4 Mk. I rather than the normal No. 1 Mk. I. These were for remote firing so would need adapting to fire directly.
Certainly something to keep an eye out for more detailed drawings. I will go through what I have.

That would be great Richard. I have had a look around the internet, and have not been able to find anything on the mk III or mk IV. Another pic in that series - IWM (E 21337), has an even better view. I don't think that I will find better pics of the Modification, and I will probably have to make an educated guess about the trigger. If you have something that Shows what the end of the receiver, ( especially a copy of that exploded diagram that has already been posted, in high res. , I would be in your debt.
Thanks for you time,
AP
