Hi Belly, The Mk1* barrel is a modified Mk1 rather than a production Mk1* so looks correct, no worries there. The lower is however a Mk1 modified example from 1943 and as you can see, still retains the original AA serial number. If you speak to Kev G, I'm sure he will have a spare forsight protector for sale. Where did you buy the gun from in the end? It was for sale at 2 different sites last time I looked.

Thanks for the info, is it possible to point out the differences of the Mk1 slide (apart from the AA serial number) I’m new to this game?! I bought it from the ‘cheaper’ website, it was still expensive though… I’ve had a price from Kev but I’m waiting to see if there’s any other bits I should order as a result of this post. Can you tell me what TAS stands for as stamped all over the bipod? Cheers Paul

Belly,as BP has mentioned regarding your lower it would have originaly looked like the one on the left in the picture below.(yours is on the right) TAS = Tudor Auto Services ATB Kevin
