Hi,
I'm new to this forum and was wondering having just received a bren gun ( deactivated of course) if anyone can help trace it's history.
It was given to me as a Christmas present by children.I have some interest in the Second World War as various members of my family were in the services and we're using these possibly but sadly are no longer with us.
It has various stamp markings on it the main one being K.4985 which is on the top near the sight.which I think is the serial number,it does seem to be on the barrell also.
It has the date 1941 on the side and with what looks like a D with an E inside it, I believe to mean it was made at enfield.
Any information that anyone has would be welcomed.
