I a currently rebuilding the above and am looking for info - it has a 15mm wide collar around the gas cylinder, ie. behind the bipod, which covers the rear set of gas holes and has two V notches on the forward edge. Looks to be a contemporary fix for the gas problems the BEF's BRENs had in France. Has anyone any info on this subject. What is equally interesting is that the collar is tightened with a small counter-sunk screw with a Nylok nut. When were Nyloks developed or it may just be a later addition. TIA Edit to fix the '155m'typo
