Hi All,
I have been researching my great grandfather and his time in the Machine Gun Corps and wondered if anyone knew anything about the following units and what they were doing between December 1917 and the end of the war.
I believe he was for a short period in the 152nd Machine Gun Company before it was moved to 51st Bn MGC on 19 Feb 1918.
Any help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Ed Brooks

Hi Ed - came across your posting. I have been researching the 51st MG Bn, 51st Inf Div as I have an identified OR grouping who was originally with the 252 MG Co before it reorganized as part of the MG Bn. Links to check: 51hd.co.uk/The British National Archives has a searchable database of pdf documents. They have war diaries for the various companies, Bn., Divisions. You have to pay a fee to download but the costs are very reasonable. www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/Good luck with your research.
