Machine Gun Corps Certificate

I picked up one of the war service certificates at the weekend made out to a Pte. Selby. The initial looks like a J but I am not quite sure. There is also a number 12041.

Has anyone else done any research into members of the corps and can add anything else

The only Selby on the Medal Index Cards at the National Archives is "Joseph Selby" who was number 12041 in the Machine Gun Corps and he seems to have been transferred to / from the Northumberland Fusiliers where he was number 24005.

In the unlikely event anyone has any Russian Maxim items available I would consider a deal against this certificate.
