I'm a new collector just come into possession (unexpectantly!) of my first Bren (Inglis MkIm 1943) in case. Little knowledge of the gun but growing after reading various messages on the forum (great stuff all!).
The case is pretty knocked about with most of the lettering gone or painted out - other than 'ORDNANCE OFFICES, NO 2 B.O.D., LIVERPOOL NSW' (any info anybody?). The only redeeming feature (to me anyway) is that it was an issued box - '9 Sec. 11Plt.'
Anyway, I'd like to begin gathering relevant cleaning accessories/spare parts to go with gun and case and wondered if anyone could recommend good UK supplier.
Any help for this beginner much appreciated.
Many thanks

2 BOD is 2nd Base Ordnance Depot ( for War Reserve Stores, Armourers, etc, etc.). Liverpool (Holsworthy Barracks) is a large military base in South West Sydney. It was started in WW1 and is still operational.

Many thanks Rod. I suspected NSW would be Oz.
I also noticed a typo in my first request in as much as my gun is a '42 not a '43.

Yep, it's got a Mk2 barrell but not sure of legs. A according to pic on this site (http://thegunner.net/bren/brenident/bren-legs.jpg) it's a Canadian Mk2 (non-exdending, holes in feet). Do I understand right that de-activated UK brens can't change barrell? rgds Paul
