We did have some discussion about this type a while ago and the conclusion was the spade-type rear foot indicated a Colt-manufactured item. However, I think this one has then been used by the Turkish forces as it has the large direction dial that is indicative of their use, although it doesn't have the capability to accept the anti-aircraft extension through the rear leg so it seems to be a little bit of a hybrid.

Richard, I think you're right - This would appear to be a Colt manufactured tripod (note the location of the crosshead clamp) that was modified by adding the direction dial. My Colt-Vickers tripod has the same style clamp.
