While not specifically the Mk. 3, the Small Arms Training Manuals at www.weapons.org.uk (Pamphlet No. 4) will detail the action and use of the Bren. Specific Mk. 3 stuff, I assume, is not that easy to come by online.

email me at
tombear@btopenworld.com
and I will send you either the 1944 or 1945 (your choice) illustrated parts list for the Mk 3 down the wire if you'd like. It will take a few sends as its as jpgs not a pdf.

PS the 1948 manual is based on the MK 3 but our version is a Word doc with big inserted jpgs so won't fit down the wire.

No worries! all 35 jpgs sent, dumbed down to 90 odd KB each so not fantastic quality but if any one else wants them...

hi newbie here....
were / are there any Bren related sites that itemise / name all of the versions of the Bren with the various modifications that crept in over the period of manufacture. also looking for manufacturers mark identification and the various add ons that were available, butt handles, butt plates.
TIA
