hi, (again) does anyone know of any web sites, out there, that show how to 'field strip' a Bren. i'm looking to see what steps would have been involved to remove a barrel, even though this example one is very well pegged, slotted and welded up!
i'm especially interested in the 'sectionalised' piston rod where it connects to the breech block (milled and weakened). this has been sectionising a little too much in my opinion, i would like to turn the piston section around to display the non damaged side. is that possible? i can't fathom how the fixing pin is installed locked, there is no screw head. it could have been milled off, would this be part of the deactivation process or the sectionalising process.
i will not do anything if i shouldn't.
sorry for the newbie type questions, i'm learning, and am just enjoying my new acquisition.
i'm sure the novelty will wear off in a few days.
many thanks for your time in advance.
regards,

Hi, If you are in the UK the simple answer is that you cant unless you want to spend a few years in one of H.M. Prisons for doing so !

Priz!
the example i have here is deactivated and heavily "sectionalised". would it be an offense to own a pile of deactivated / sectionalised Bren gun parts.
TIA for your input and comments.
