Know sod all about AFV's but much appreciate the link to the pics ,especially the siamesed Bren box mags Interestingly Tom found DD(E) 2179 which shows a 60 (yes 60) round prototype \ experimental coffin type multiple column box mag for the 7.92 Bren Have some pics below of Brit quad mounts, but as to what they for and if they were used anyone any ideas ?

Very interesting - the gunner has a Tank capbadge, and the prints are embossed 'Mechanisation (Board?)' so guess possible Light Tank proposal 1938/39??

Kev I have a question about these photos. Look at the top one, at the base [rear] of the seat there is 5 tops showing of what we call normal curved mags, you see them? Now look at the bottom pic you posted, you will still see them there at the back, but this time from another angle. Guess why I am pointing this out when you have a close look at the lengths of those mags? Regards Matt Gibbs

Well maybe its my eyesight but they look longer than normal to me..? When I looked at the "amount" of curve they seem to have they appear to be longer in some way. Or IS is my eyes? ttfn Matt
