Hey chaps, Question, I have a deactivated Bren Mk2 and I have a thought. Has anyone ever tried to use liquid epoxy to mend their Bren back together for display purposes? I have seen this epoxy with metal in it in action and it is very impressive. I once saw a man epoxy an ear on an engine block back on and then drill and re tap it to accept an accessory mount. So, would it be legal to do this and then file and sand smooth, maybe use some flat black paint after to hide the mends?? Just a thought, of course I don't think it would hold up to live fire anyway even is you had all the parts needed intact. Thoughts??

I have considered this action before for rendering spare parts unsuitable for re-use but still sufficient for display and would advise that you use a weak enough resin / epoxy to be able to break the item in front of any official that is enquiring as to the reality of such parts.
Obviously I am not a legal advisor and you do not state what country you are in but for further clarification you should contact a suitably qualified person in your country or residence.
