Superb idea Rod. It gives an excellent general idea of what is out there or not. I tell you what though, it is lists like this that make me glad I sold my Bren stuff before I got too 'involved'.
I could do the same for the Vickers but there is soooo much!
Thanks for this,
Rich

Does anybody know anything regarding the "Extension bren gun butt" 1960s bronze green paint finished plain wood handle thingy. I have a couple still boxed, marked as mfg by Daimler, would like to know anything about them; always thought that they might be for use when bren on rear ring mount on Saracen APC, but no doubt somebody will put me right...Thanks.

Hi, can you do a pic of the item? I've got a copy of the Saracen/Ferret armaments book and theres nothing with the same name BUT you know what they are like for changing the nom', and it may match the description. Is there a parts number on the box or date?

If they are still in the box is there any NSN number printed on the box? eg. "1110-99-962-1234"

Ok guys off the box: LV9/ASC FV-125967 EXTENSION BREN GUN BUTT QTY 1(nope, definitely no more than one , none hiding in the corner) DAIMLER LTD (oh yeah, good stuff) 6/FV/14348/DC11A DATE.12/62 METH 1 (dont get excited - they mean packing method = cardboard box + green wrapping) PACKED SALTERPAK INSPECTED BY (blank)
That's it from the box.
Tom Thomas - that's a name that rings a bell, said quasimodo - do you mean the TT who had the Light Recce Car? I have known the guy who supplied some firearms related items to him since the late 60s - but these did not come from Tom or Oz.
(maybe its old age, but can't see how to attach an image - i've tried over & over but the sellotape keeps coming off the monitor screen - can someone advise an old man.........or even me. Thanks.

Hi guys , try looking up the FV NUMBER, it may give you a better steer, FV= Fighting Vehicle ... The fact it has a specific FV INDEX would indicate it is for one type of vehicle.......... or ........the fv index is refering to a cupola equipment that may fit many vehicles. Just my two penneth worth.........and no i dont have an FV list.......... Tim
