Hi guys. We have a complete Armourers Chest for the Vickers and Bren coming up for sale here in a few weeks. It is a typical wooden chest filled with a series of shallow wooden trays which appear to be filled with a variety of tools and spares. From the photo I have looked at (sorry, I can't send it) it appears to be complete. I have never seen one before. Any ideas on value? There is also another chest (Small Arms 1958) which also appears complete, and looks very tasty!

Hi Rod,not exactly the sort of thing you see for sale to often ! ;D
Just hope it doesn't all get split up as I would imagine the sum of the parts far exceeds the chests selling as complete items.

Last one I saw in Canada was last year. An Aussie one and it went for $750 Canadian. I would love to pick it up but shipping from NZ would cost a mint I'm thinking  |

If I succeed in obtaining it, it will definitely stay in one piece. The Canadian price is about roughly what I figured. If I get it I will post (if Kev will oblige!) a selection of photos. I suspect that it will be fairly hotly contested! . This could seriously affect my spending ability in the UK later in the year! My wife will be delighted. ;D |

I've got some pics of the chests  and from what I saw of them they are probably 99% complete and generally unused. We didn't have time or the CES to do a complete check of the chests. |
