Hello. This is my first post on this board. I'm glad I found it. My Bren barrel was very tight in the receiver and the bolt or pin that keeps the handle from sliding forward and limits its travel up and down must have been weak. It sheared off as I smacked the handle to remove the barrel. What's left of the "bolt" or "pin" is flush with the barrel now and I can't grab on to it to remove it.
Do you have any ideas on how to remove this thing? By the way, can you give me the actual name of this part so I can get a new one "if" I can get the other one out?
Thanks.

The retaining plunger for the carry handle is spring-loaded inside the stem of the handle base. If you carefully study the side of the stem you will see two small cross pins. The lower pin retains the sheared off plunger. The upper pin retains the cap on top of the spring. Be carefull when you remove either of these cross pins as there is considerable spring pressure and the releasd parts will disappear at speed! The handle retaining plunger is very easily made by anyone with a lathe.
