Can anyone either post or email me some pictures of the various types of metal cleaning rods that are found in the lid of the wooden Bren transit chests?? I am trying to put the accessories for my transit chest together and I'm not sure what the metal cleaning rods looked like. I am under the impression that there are a couple of different styles of rods that were used.
Thanks, Eric

I have a Canadian transit chest and an Inglis 1944 Bren MkII. Is this possibly the correct cleaning rod for my transit chest?? I know the picture isn't that good - it has a fixed "T" handle on one end and only a patch holder slot on the other end (there is no accomodations for screwing on a brush or jag). Thanks, Eric

I searched through hundreds of Cdn Bren chests located in Canada to find the accessories that were still hidden inside some of them. All of the cleaning rods (maybe 5) I found were the twisted wire type. Thats not to say that other types were'nt used, just that thats the only type I found.
